Ian graduated from Cambridge in 1988 and founded the Hart Veterinary Centre in Bicester with his wife, Clare, in 1993. His main interests are in surgery and oncology. Ian specialises in orthopaedic, spinal and soft tissue surgery and receives referrals from several local practices. Outside work Ian spends as much time cycling, running and walking his dogs as family life allows.
Clare graduated from Cambridge in 1988 and founded the practice with Ian in 1993. Clare works two days a week, as well as looking after her three children, two Labradors and several cats. Clare's main areas of interest include preventative medicine, surgery and acupuncture. Clare enjoys triathlon and skiing.
After qualifying in 2005 from London, Gemma joined Harts in 2006. Gemma enjoys being a General Practitioner and in 2008 she completed a further qualification in advanced General Practice. As many of Gemma’s regular clients know, she enjoys freeride skiing and running with her dog Flick, and to relax she says a little bit of yoga normally does the trick.
Originally from Cumbria, Gina graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 2005. She worked as a large animal vet in Yorkshire for 3 years before deciding to specialise in small animal practice. Gina moved to Oxfordshire and joined the Hart Veterinary Centre in February 2011. Outside work Gina plays hockey for Bicester Hockey Club and enjoys walking and mountain biking with her dog Jake.
Steffi graduated from Cambridge in June 2010 and joined Hart Vets after spending several months travelling. Steffi’s main interest is in surgery, in which she is undertaking further study. Outside work, Steffi enjoys spending time with her dog Tess, travelling abroad, running, cycling, and visiting friends around the country.
Tim graduated from Cambridge in 1999, and after working in a specialised small animal practice in Surrey joined Ian and Clare in 2002. He became a director in 2007 and founded our Waddesdon veterinary surgery in 2010. Tim's main areas of interest include internal medicine, cardiology, ultrasonography and clinical governance. Tim enjoys digital photography, walking and spending time with his two sons.
Claire graduated from Glasgow in 1997 and joined Hart Vets in 2009. Claire works most Saturday mornings at our Waddesdon surgery. Outside of vet work, Claire enjoys spending time with her cats, travelling, archery, folk music, supporting the Northampton Saints Rugby team and running her own stained glass window business!
Lizzie graduated from Cambridge in June 2014. Lizzie enjoys all areas of general practice. Outside of work Lizzie enjoys walking, running, playing the piano, and spending time with her cat Freddie.
Rosie graduated from Cambridge in 2012 and worked for two years in small animal practice in Essex before joining Hart Vets. Rosie loves working with her clients to work out the best solutions for them and their furry friends, and is really enjoying getting to know the pets of Bicester. Outside of work Rosie enjoys yoga, CAMRA pubs and gardening; though not all at the same time!
Jenny graduated from Cambridge in 2010 and moved to Aylesbury shortly afterwards. Jenny enjoys all areas of small animal practice but is particularly interested in dentistry and exotic animal medicine. Outside of work Jenny enjoys walking her Springer Spaniel Freddie and playing tennis.
Silje graduated from Norway in December 2016 and worked in a small animal practice in Norway before she joined Hart Vets. Silje’s main interests are surgery and exotic pets. Outside of work Silje enjoys indoor climbing.
Dan graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017 before joining the team after seeing practice with us as a student. He enjoys all areas of small animal practice but is particularly interested in surgery and emergency medicine. Dan lives locally with his family, three cats and two rabbits.
